While working as a news reporter
I often headed my feature stories as "Strolling Along" followed by sub titles
as appropriate. When I was a member of Service Company, 508th Parachute
Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, I used the same heading when
writing "letters" home. I used "Tex" as part of my name because most of
the troopers who knew me called me "Tex".
I know these articles and
drawings will be of little or no interest to anyone except maybe some of us
who were "over there".
I dedicate this "booklet" to the
memory of those who didn't return. |
