LOCAL SCENES
Honor Guard
was the reason the 508th was in Frankfurt.
Here an unidentified 508er is dressed in the white scarf and gloves along with an Ike jacket that were all requisite duty uniform items
Guard Mount
the Captain (r) was in charge of the guard while his Lieutenant would assist. Neither man is identified.
Aircraft Bone Yard
visited by Hank LeFebvre. All German aircraft were placed in controlled areas for disposition, regardless of condition.  Later they were eagerly picked over by Allied nations
More Wreckage
Unidentified Captain is probably same man as the one in the photo on left.
Note:  Left side of this photo had to be "burned in due to poor negative quality.

Swastika
made a good focal point for a photo. Officer on right is unidentified

Unidentified Enlisted Man
may have been with Hank and the other officer or Hank just took a photo for him

Railroad Station
in Frankfurt was where the 508th mounted the Honor Guard but also a prime meeting spot for buddies in town as they left to tour Germany
Officers Quarters
private residences were seized for use and allocated by size to various commissioned grades
