The French Franc notes were
re-printed after the war, probably as a counter measure against forgery
but also due to an international agreement. .
This half-Franc note
contains the words "Bon de Solidarity" or "solidarity
purchase" as an authorized
currency based on, we believe, the Bretton Woods system when
multi-national delegates met in Bretton Woods, NH to create the
International Monetary Fund (IMF) and agree on exchange rates based on
gold. |
