"Mission Accomplished"
  General Gavin's Monument, located in Groesbeek, on Generaal Gavinstraat, a street named in his honor.
 The title is taken from an after action report written by Gavin himself.  The monument was unveiled on June 12, 1994 by Mrs. J. E. Gavin.  Her daughters and a grandchild were alt her side. 
  Also in attendance were All American veterans and Dutch citizenry

Operation Market Garden

troop movements are depicted in a map on an adjacent stand


Plaque Commemoration

took place on Sept. 17, 1995, the 50th anniversary of Market Garden.

traces the general and his 82nd ABN from Sicily to the Netherlands
