The 508th was awarded one campaign star each for the battles shown below and each man that participated in these battles was entitled to wear one or more stars on his .European-Africa -Middle East Campaign Ribbon.
   These miniature Bronze Stars are not the same as a Bronze Star Medal although they have often been confused as that higher level award because of the similar nomenclature.
