In General Order GO-87, Paragraph 2, dated 6 Jun 1945, Captain (then Lt.) Loyle O. McReynolds (of Coolidge, Texas) was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for "heroic conduct in action on January 29-30, 1945" in two locations of Belgium.
