508th Honored By  Citizens of Normandy

Two Lieutenants
were honored as these crossroads were named.

D. Zane Schlemmer
had a street named after him
in the village of L'Angle where a monument was placed showing the spot where Zane landed on D-Day.
Zane Schlemmer with Temporary street sign "Rue Zane Schlemmer".  With him is Ida (Rogers) Schlemmer Zane's 2nd wife (deceased) who was instrumental in getting him back to France many years after the war.
