Pvt James C. Hutto, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. C/. Hutto of Gaston, is a member of the 508th Parachute infantry which was citied for outstanding performance of duty in the invasion of Normandy June 6.  He was wounded in action June 22 but has recovered and took part in the invasion of Holland.  His sister, Mavis Hutto, is in the Army Nurses corps.
