PVT HARRY OSTRANDER

Ostrander's Wound
  Called Not Serious

   Pvt Harry Ostrander, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn V. Ostrander. 114 DeWittshire Road, a paratrooper, was wounded in action in Normandy June 123.  His wound is not serious, his parents have been informed by the War Department.

   Pvt Ostrander enlisted in the paratroops in October 1942, training at Camp Blanding and Fort Benning.  He went overseas June 6, 1943, a year before Invasion Day.  He was graduated from Fayetteville High school i9n 1942.  He and his brother, Tech Sgt. Robert Ostrander, now in Australia, wee both eagle Scouts as boys.  Robert is w2ith the Signal Coups, attached to the air Corps.
