Pfc Harold E. Brodd was wounded in France on July 4, 1944

   The document shown here awarding "the Purple Heart for wounds received in action" was issued on February 19, 1960.  It may represent a never before received medal for that wound even though Harold was cited in General Order 54 for a wound sustained on that date..
