Corp. Glenn Eby, 22, paratrooper, was wounded in the invasion of France,
captured by the Germans, later released, and is now in a hospital somewhere
in England. his parents. Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Eby, 210 SW First Ave.,
learned this week m a letter written by their son July 1. He also wrote
of his experience to his wife. who is working in an ammunition plant
at Elkton, Md.
They do not know the nature of his injuries. He reports that he lost
15 pounds during the period of his capture and that the enemy took everything
he had except his ring and wallet. In his V-mail letter, he said that
he returned to England June 30. They presume that his release from imprisonment
came when the Allies captured that part of France where he was held.
