82nd AIRBORNE BOOKLET

This small booklet, measuring just 5 1;/4 by 5 1/2 inches, was distributed throughout the division as a keepsake for the folks back home.

The foreword on the inside front cover was written under the signature of Major General James M. Gavin.  The  publication was printed by Desfosses-Neogravure - Paris.  Photos are all from the U.S. Army Signal Corps, 82nd Airborne Division.

Oddly, the coverage of the division's exploits are not in chronological order as the initial battle mentioned is Operation Market Garden. Following that account is coverage for the  Sicily, Italy, and France campaigns..  Lastly, the WW-II victory section comes under the Belgium and Luxembourg headline.
