Grave marker for
Seward B. Boring in the Germany Lutheran Cemetery, Clyde (Indiana
county), Pennsylvania. [courtesy of Rob and
Debi Felten] Seward enlisted in the
Army at Altoona, PA on 20 November 1943. He may have begun his
service career with the 506th PIR.
Pvt Boring was transferred from the 11th Replacement
Depot to Hq 2nd, 508th PIR on 10 August 1944.
He was awarded the B9onzer Service Arrowhead device
for the Holland campaign and Airborne operations.
Seward was discharged on 16 January 1946. |
