Gerald registered for the draft in Neodesha, Wilson, KS
on 30 June1942 and enlisted in the Army at Oklahoma City, OK on 8
December 1943.
On 2 March 1944 Pvt Brown was transferred to Hq 3rd,
508th PIR.
He was promoted to T/4 on 21 July 1944 and was
transferred to Service Company the following day. He was returned
to Hq 3rd on 22 November 1944
Gerald was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant on 4
September 1951adf rose through the ranks to retire as a lLeutenant
Colonel. on
