  DAVID RAY BURKMAN
Beloved Father, Grand Father and Friend

   David Ray Burkman, passed away June 2, 2007 in Lancaster, California. He was born August 2, 1949 in San Fernando, California.
   David was retired after working for 20 plus years in the aerospace industry, lastly working for Teledyne Ryan in San Diego as a plant manager.
   He was a proud and decorated Vietnam War veteran, having served in the United States Army 101st Airborne division.
   We are proud to have been able to call him our father, brother and friend.
   Recently he had developed a major interest in Computer electronics and NASCAR, although Dave's greatest passion was spending time with his grandchildren.
   His death came suddenly and was a shock to us all. Dave was love and will be deeply missed by us all.
   He is survived by his loving wife Donna; daughter, Christine and husband Elliot; daughters, Lori and Carrie; son, Ron and wife Mikki; grandchildren, Joshua, Ryan, Torre, Matthew, Veronica, Christopher, Mackenzie, Emily, Kayla, Michael and Cameron; brother, Paul and wife Debbie; uncle Ralph and wife Dolly; cousins, Kay, Dennis, Steve and Bruce; nephew, Bill; niece, Shalana; and numerous other family and friends.
   Visitation will take place today, June 9, 2007, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Chapel of the Oaks, Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 North Sierra Highway, Newhall.
   A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., also at the Chapel of the Oaks. Burial will follow at the Eternal Valley Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of EternalL Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary Directors (661) 259-0800

He was discharged on 30 June 2007.

He married Donna E Surginer in Los Angeles City, CA on 3 November 1967.
