Kenneth registered for the draft in Long Beach, CA
on 16 October 1940 and was inducted into the Army on 23 January 1942
at Fort MacArthur, San Pedro, CA.
Pvt Chisolm was transferred from the 507th PIR to
Hq Hq, 508th PIR on 16 October 1942 as a member of the cadre team.
On 5 November 1942 he was appointed to the grade
of T/5 and on 1 February 1943 he was appointed to T/4 and the
following day sent on Detached service to Fort Benning, GA.
Although the Morning Report of 11 February 1943
shows him as returning to duty with Hq Hq, his name never appears
again in 508th records. |
