WILLIAM L. DICKEN

Grave marker for William L. Dicken in Section B,  Site 74, Wood National Cemetery, Milwaukee (Milwaukee county), Wisconsin.

 

William registered for the draft in Pontiac, IL on 16 July 1943 and was inducted into the Army on 10 September 1943.

On 23 July 1944, Pvt Dicken was transferred from 82nd Abn Div Hq to Hq 1st, 508th PIR.

Pvt Dicken was listed as:"slightly injured" in action on 17 September 1944.  Still not recovered, he was transferred to the hospital's detachment  of patients.

Pvt Dicken returned to duty with the company on 31 May 1945.

He was discharged on 26 May 1946 and married Carol A Reynolds in Los Angeles, CA on 13 May 1977..
