Hollie Russell Drennen OAK HILL —

Hollie Russell Drennen, 63, of Oak Hill, died Saturday in a Beckley hospital after a short illness. He was a retired miner, last employed by Eastern Associated Coal Co. at Horton, a World War II Army veteran, a member of Freewill Baptist Church at Rock Lick, a native of Widen. Clay County.

Surviving: wife, Jeanette Elmore Drennen; son, Jerry of Lansing; daughter, Mrs. Sherry Looper of Dayton, Ohio; brother, Roy Anderson of Gatewood; sisters, Mrs. Helen O’Dell of Craigsville, Mrs. Haley Parson of Rock Creek, Miss Hershel Drennen of Decota. Mrs. Betty Parson of Minden; seven grandchildren.

Service will be 3 p.m. Monday in Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev. R. Kenneth Bond officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call from 6:30 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
