MARSTONS MILLS - Joseph P. Ferraro, of Marstons Mills, passed away on November 17, 2016.
Born in Worcester, MA in 1935 to the late Frank and Priscilla (Abatantuano) Ferraro. Joseph graduated from Commerce High School, Lake Quinsigamond Community College, and Worcester State College with honors.
He volunteered for the Army Paratroopers and served with the 508 Airborne Regiment during the Korean War.
He then met and married the love of his life Brenda Carole. He
joined the Worcester Fire Department where he worked
on Engine 3 for 2 and a half years. He then joined
the Worcester Police Department where he reached the
rank of Police Lieutenant. He later retired to Cape
Cod where he owned many Cape Real Estate Commercial
Properties. With the help of his wife they
successfully developed

and ran the Commercial Properties.
After selling the Real Estate he and his wife traveled extensively to China, Russia, Turkey and the
Caribbean Islands and many River Cruises and, of course, Italy more than 6 times.
In addition to his wife Brenda, he leaves a son James of Worcester and another son Bruce and his wife Janice of Florida. He also leaves two sisters Camille Kelley of Shrewsbury and Laura Mello of North Providence, Rhode Island and a brother Michael and his wife Denice of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He was predeceased by two brothers John and Frank.
He will be forever loved and missed.
Services were private and burial was at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne with full military honors. |
