Grave marker for Tom T. Griffith in Garden of the
Resurrection, Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus (Muscogee county), Georgia,
Tom registered for the draft in Columbus, GA on 30
June 1942 and was inducted into the army at enlisted at Fort McPherson,
Atlanta, GA on 6 February 1954. He was transferred to Service
Company, 508th PIR.
On 26 October 1944, Pvt Griffith was transferred to
Detachment #1, Service Company but there is no further mention him in
morning reports.

Griffith arrived in New York, NY from Southampton, England aboard the
Queen Mary on 3 January 1946 and was discharged on 17 January 1946 |
