Gutierrez in Section 63A, Site 658, Riverside National Cemetery,
Riverside (Riverside county), California
Sam registered for the draft in Los Angeles, CA on 30
June 1942. He was inducted into the Army in that same city on 27
February 1943. On 6 August 1943, Pvt Gutierrez
was transferred from the Parachute School, Fort Benning, GA to Company
D, 508th PIR. For reasons unknown, Sam was
placed on Casual status on 17 August 1943 and five days later he was
transferred to Replacement Station 990. He was
discharged on 29 December 1944. |
