Grave markers for Joseph F. Hacunda in Section 2 of Vine Lake Cemetery, Medfield (Norfolk county). Massachusetts.

Joseph enlisted in the Army at Boston, MA on 16 January 1941.

Pvt Hacunda was transferred from the 26th Infantry Division, Wilmington, DE to Hq 1st of the the newly activated 508th PIR, Camp Blanding, FL on 22 October 1942.

He was later transferred to the Casual Company at the Parachute School, Ft Benning, GA on 19 February 1943.

He was discharged on 2 October 1945.  Based on his grave marker Joseph achieved the rank of Tec/5.
