CLIFFORD HADDEN

Grave marker of Clifford Hadden in Bruynswick Rural Cemetery, Wallkill (Ulster county), New York.

 

Clifford registered for the draft in Port Jervis, New York on 10 October 1941.

Clifford enlisted in the National Guard on 23 December 1941 activated was activated 28 January 1942.

On 18 September 1944, Pvt Haddy was transferred from Hq 82nd Airborne Division, Leicester, England to Service Company, 508th PIR and subsequently to Company B.

He was listed as missing in action in Belgium on 24 December 1944.

Pvt Haddy was berated from Stalag 11B after the war ended and was moved to to unnamed US Army hospital where he was listed as "Repatriated Prisoner of Germany, Diagnosis: Deformities due to previous disease or injury, Closure of wound,

Where and what the wound was is not known, but he was listed on 13 November 1945 as "Discharged or Retired for other cause."
