FOREST A. HARPE
Forest A. 'Bud' Harpe , 91 , crossed the threshold of heaven on October 2, 2016.  Bud was born in New Brunswick, NJ on August 28, 1925. Living most of his life in Toms River, NJ,
   Bud was proud to be a WWII veteran serving with the 101st airborne. He was a lifetime member of Toms River Volunteer Fire Company 1 and an active member of the American Legion. Bud was also a fireman at Lakehurst Naval Air Station in New Jersey before becoming a safety officer at the Air Station.

   He retired from the safety office in 1985 and he and his wife traveled through the country in their motor home for a year before settling in Stuart, FL in 1987. In 2003 they moved to Clermont, FL.
   Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria (Sug) in 2005, and sister Connie in 2013. He is survived by his son Dale Harpe (Paula), Toms River, NJ, daughter Patty Nielsen (Greg), Clermont, FL, granddaughters JaDee Nielsen (Edwin Ruiz), East Stroudsburg, PA, Amanda Pearce (Scott), Clearwater, FL, grandsons Erik Nielsen, Clermont, FL & Bill Harpe (Vikki), Beachwood, NJ, great granddaughters Gwen Pearce and Bellaluna Harpe, and great-grandson, Riley Pearce, his "sweetheart" of 6 years, Ms. Shirlee Leathers, Clermont, FL, sisters Dotti Riccardi, Toms River, NJ, Reet Christie, Rixeyville, VA, Barbara Poli, Jackson, NJ, and Bernadette Vandenbergh, Cheektowaga, NY.
   Services will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 2-5pm at Becker Funeral Home, Clermont, Florida. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Diabetes Association.
