DAVID P. HATHAWAY

Clair "Bud" Hauser, 74, of Snow Shoe died Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at home.

Born Aug. 3, 1924, in Snow Shoe, he was a son of the late Clair E. and Mae Moore Hauser. On July 25, 1945, in Snow Shoe, he married Elouise Beals, who died June 8, 1999.

He was a mechanic most of his life.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5644 in Snow Shoe Snow Shoe Fire Company, National Rifle Association, and the Fire Police for many years.

He is survived by a daughter, Beverly Gaines of Frenchville; a son Robert R. of Cemoa, Va.; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His stepfather, Bill Holter, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Robert L. Dixon Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St., Snow Shoe.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Edward Putt Sr. officiating.

Burial will be in Askey Cemetery, rural Snow Shoe.
