KENNETH V. JACCARD

Grave marker for Kenneth V. Jaccard in Plot 15, Grave 631, Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton (Suffolk county), New York.

 

Kenneth registered for the draft in Bellmore, NY on 16 October 1940 and was inducted into the Army on 28 April 1941 at Jamaica, NY.

Pvt Jaccard was wounded in action in January 1945 and evacuated to a field hospital where the diagnosis was "Blast injury; Location: Abdomen, abdominal wall and pelvis: Back, generally; Location: Thorax, generally; Causative Agent: Artillery Shell, Blast Effects."

He returned to duty lat4er that same month and was discharged on 7 November 1945.

Kenneth married Marilyn E Ryan[1927–2012) in Hempstead, NY on 30 December 1945.
