GLENN I. KLEINLEIN

Glenn served in Company D, 508th ARCT from 51-53.

   Glenn Irving "Bud" Kleinlein, 80 of Griggsville, Illinois formerly of Versailles, Illinois passed away Thursday at 11:20 p.m. November 1, 2012 in Liberty Village, Pittsfield, Illinois.
    Born November 11, 1931 in Pike County, Illinois a son of Floyd A. & Mahalla Irving Kleinlein, Bud married Doris Logsdon Long in March of 1996 in Pittsfield, Illinois; she survives
   Bud had attended Brown County schools and was a lifelong Farmer.
   Bud was a veteran of the Korean War as a United States Army paratrooper, a member of the Versailles Christian Church, and a avid golfer having served as President of Rolling Greens Men's League for several years He also loved hunting and fishing and especially enjoyed the many trips to Canada he took with his friends.
   Survivors include his wife: Doris Kleinlein of Griggsville, Illinois; Four step-daughters: Deborah Willis (Robert) of Mt Sterling Illinois, Melinda Geers (Dennis) of Sarasota, Florida, Lori Shepard of Quincy, Illinois, Lisa Kestner (Gary) of Camp Point, Illinois. Three sisters: Eva "Pinky" Pruden of Versailles, Illinois, Betty Rigg of Clayton, Illinois, Ida Belle Kauffman of Springfield, Illinois. Seven step-grandchildren also survive along with several nieces, nephews and Bud's many friends.
   He was preceded in death by his parents.
   Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2012 in the Hendricker Funeral Home, Mt Sterling; Pastor Carl Metz officiating.
   Visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of services on Sunday at the funeral home Following the funeral service cremation rites will be accorded and the cremated remains scattered on the family farm per Bud's request.
   Memorials are suggested to: Blessing Hospice of Pike County, Pike County Ambulance Service or Versailles Christian Church. Hendricker Funeral Home of Mt. Sterling in charge of arrangements
