Grave marker for Mack H. Maraman in a plot described as
"back middle of cemetery" in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Tampa (Hillsborough
county), Florida. Mack enlisted in the Army at
Ft Benjamin Harrison, IN on 30 March 1943. Pvt Maraman, a member
of Company "I", participated in the jump into Normandy on D-Day.
He suffered a gun shot wound in the left elbow and was captured that
same day.
He was reported in June 1945 as being liberated from
Stalag 7A Moosburg Bavaria. Pvt Maraman was discharged on 18
September 1945. |
