Wilfred "Bill" Murray was a PFC in the U.S. Army during WW-II. He was a
member of F Company, 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd
Airborne Division. Wilfred enlisted in Marquette, MI on October 8, 1940. At
some point he volunteered for the paratroopers and was transferred to the
508th where he was assigned to Company F. He was
wounded on October 1, 1944 in Holland and was awarded the Purple Heart.
