Robert Theodore Ojendyk of Manchester, New Hampshire,
passed away at the age of 88 on January 13, 2014 surrounded by his
loving family at the Elliot Hospital. Robert was born in Des Moines,
Iowa on April 21, 1925 and was the son of the late Emil and Marie
(Wieland) Ojendyk.
In 1950, Robert received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Iowa State
University. His passion for learning led him to continue his studies at
Ohio State University where he received his Master's Degree in
Engineering. As a retiree, he also achieved his Master's Degree in
Public Administration from SNHU.
He served his country as a career officer in the US Army Corps of
Engineers and retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was a
Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Robert had a life-long love of
traveling and both visited and lived in many countries throughout the
world.
He was active in the community Eucharistic Minister for St.

He was a patron of the arts and
enjoyed opera and museums. He also loved baseball and football, but most
especially spending time with his family.
Interment with Military Honors at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, in
Boscawen, NH.

Saturday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m. in St. Catherine's Church, 207 Hemlock
St., Manchester. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment
with military honors will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 10 a.m. at
the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, in Boscawen.
