KARL RIEDL

Karl Riedl immigrated from Germany on the SS Bremen sailing from Bremen, Germany on 2 May 1934.  The ship arrived in New York city harbor six days later on the 8th of May

The left and right hand pages of the ship's manifest show him (age 9) on line 21 accompanied by his younger sister Maria (age 7) on line 22.  They were joining their father Jacob in Brooklyn.

They may have been traveling accompanied by the person on line 20 who was also going to Brooklyn as it seems unlikely they would be traveling without an adult.

His early service record is unknown but he was a member of the 508th Medical Detachment when he awarded a Good Conduct Medal  on 17 December 1945.
