Grave marker for Edward W. Spangler in Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oakbrook Terrace (DuPage county), Illinois.

Edward enlisted in the Arms on 3 January 1944. 

On 3 October 1945, Pfc Spangler was transferred from the 504th PIR to Company D, 508th PIR.

He was discharged on 4 June 1946.

Edward married Marian Doris Perrin [1926–1989] in Cook County, IL on 1 May 1948.  She shares the grave plot with Edward.
