IVAN E. STUBBS

Ivan Eugene Stubbs, 80

   Ivan Eugene Stubbs, 80, of Elroy, Texas, died January 20, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was born August 19, 1931, in Dripping Springs, Texas, the son of the late Maggie Lou and Wade Stubbs. He was the youngest of 3 siblings. He served in the U.S. Army as an Airborne Ranger during the Korean War. After his discharge, he later opened his own business in Elroy, Texas. He is survived by his wife Carole, his children; Karen Stubbs of Austin, Frank Stubbs and wife Josie of Georgetown, son Doug Stubbs of Elroy; grandchildren, Wesley Stubbs and wife Stacy of Rhode Island, Daniel Stubbs, of Japan, Miranda Stubbs of Georgetown, Jennifer Stubbs of Jarrell, Scott Stubbs of Elroy, Mark Cortinas of Austin, Tony Cortinas of Minot, ND., and sister, Gwendolyn Wunneburger and husband Joe of Johnson City. Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Harrell Funeral Home, Austin, TX. Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 27, 2012 at Harrell Funeral Home, Austin, TX. To be buried in Killeen with military rights.
