EDWARD E. WERESZENSKI

Edward Wereszenski of Elsmere, DE, age 78, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2004 at home.
    Mr. Wereszenski worked for 29 years at General Motors as an assemblyman. He retired in 1975. He also was an Army Veteran of World War II.
   His wife, Bertha (Abberger) died in 1983. He is survived by sons, Edward T. & Paul J., both of Wilmington, DE; a daughter Eileen M. Pavlic, of Hockessin, DE; and 2 granddaughters, Jennifer C. and Kimberly M.
   There will be no viewing. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass at Corpus Christi Church, New Road, Elsmere, DE on Wednesday, June 16 at 10 am. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery.
   In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to Corpus Christi Church, 901 New Road, Elsmere, DE 19804. Arrangements by John Yassik Funeral Home

Edward Wereszenski died on 10 June 2004 and was laid to rest ion All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington (New Castle county, Delaware.

Edward registered for the draft at Wilmington, DE on 1 November 1943.  He enlisted in the Army at Camden, NJ on 21 December 1943 but was not inducted until 11 January 1944.

On 3 October 1945, Pfc Wereszenski was transferred from the 504th PIR to Company I, 508th PIR.

He was discharged on 23 May 1946 and married Bertha Ann Alberger in Wilmington, DE on 19 June 1948.
