Sam Wilkinson, 85, died Nov. 18, 2009, in Vero Beach. He was born in Johnstown, Pa., and lived in Fort Pierce since 1989, coming from his birthplace.

He was a draftsman with an electric company and was a drummer playing big band music from the 1940s.

Survivors include his son, David Wilkinson of Fort Pierce; daughter, Wanda Wilkinson of Fort Pierce; and brother, Woodie Wilkinson of Fort Pierce; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Wilkinson; and daughter, Cheryl Wilkinson.

Services will be at a later date in Johnstown. Arrangements are by Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
