Grave marker for Richard G. Wolch in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls (Morrison county), Minnesota.

Richard enlisted in the Army at Ft Snelling, MN and was assigned to the Service Company, 508th.  He was promoted to the grade of T/5 on 2 February 1944 and subsequently to SSgt on 30 July 1944.

SSgt Wolch was wounded in action on 11 June 1944 and awarded the Purple Heart. 

He re-enlisted on 18 October 1946 but no further service details are known.
