Grave markers for Charles T. Wright in .Fairview Cemetery, New Albany (Floyd county), Indiana.

Charles enlisted in the Army at Chicago IL on 13 October 1942 and eleven days later was transferred from Camp Grant, IL to Co B, 508th PIR. He was later transferred to Hq 1st.

Pfc Wright was wounded in action in Holland on 22 October 1944.

His military decorations include the Purple Heart and Combat Infantryman Badge and Bronze Star Arrowhead device, both awarded participation in the Normandy, France Campaign,
