EUGENE C. YOTT

 

Grave marker for Eugene C. Yott in Southern Memorial Park, North Miami (Miami-Dade county), Florida.

  On 16 October 1940, Eugene registered for the draft   at the Town Hall in Miami, Fl with Selective Service, District 2, Dade County, FL,, Local  Board 1,.

   Eugene married Ruby L. Malphure on 22 July 1942.

  It was not until 6 July 1944 that he was called to serve and  enlisted at  Camp Blanding, FL.

   By then, the 508th had long vacated that campo and was actively engaged in combat in Normandy

   On 23 July 1945, Pvt Yott was transferred from the 51st Reinforcement Battalion to Hq 1st, 508th PIR.

   Pvt Yott beanie Pfc Yott on 12 June 1945, the last date his name appears in available records.
