Bartram H. Dilks, Jr. is buried in Section M, Row B, Site 42 of the Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent (King County), Washington.

Pfc Dilks transferred from the National Guard Field Artillery to Regular Army at Camp Shelby, MS on 13 Nov 1941. 

Selected for flight training he received his wings as a Staff Sergeant pilot.  He was commissioned as a Flight Officer [Warrant Officer] in January 1943 and then as a Second Lieutenant on 1 June 1944.

Dilks piloted aircraft during the invasions of Sicily, Italy and France earning the Bronze Star Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster and the Air Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster.
