  Aircrew members were:
Pilot Capt Charles S. Cartwright, Co-pilot Flt Officer Alma M. Magleby, Navigator 2/Lt Edward I. Osborne, Radio Operator SSgt Frank A. DeLuca, Crew Chief SSgt Raymond H. Farris

Serial 20 left Saltby Airfield with 35 other aircraft carrying the men of the 2nd Battalion.
   Note that aircraft #4 carrying 18 men of HQ 2nd crashed.  All but 1 wounded paratrooper exited on its third pass over the DZ.  [Read official crew narrative].  None of the 18 listed below are known to have been wounded on D-Day.  Pvt LeGrande Mangus, who later died of wounds, may possibly be the man who crash landed with the air crew.
