Pfc John A. Lockwood and Pfc Otto K. Zwingman jumped on D-Day as
numbers 4 and 5 in this stick. Wherever they may have landed,
a dramatic story must have unfolded because both of them were
awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, a medal second only to the
Medal of Honor.
The same award was accorded another man of Company D for this same
action. Cpl Ernest T. Roberts must have linked up on the
ground with the group. |
