Purple Heart Awarded
Officer Posthumously
Word has been received from Mrs. W.
R. Roycraft, Mankato, Minn., that her husband, First Lieutenant W.
R. Roycraft, has been awarded posthumously the purple heart for
wounds received in action, resulting in his death June 15, after the
invasion of Normandy.
Lt. Roycraft's parents, Rev. and Mrs. W/ A. Roycraft, live at Lake
Negagamon. The lieutenant's wife and daughter, Carol, visited
the Roycraft's home in Lake Negagamon. this week.
