		    Lamm was awarded the Silver Star with 1 Oak Leaf 
		Cluster and Risnes was awarded the Silver Star in Holland plus a Bronze Star 
		Medal in Belgium.  He re-enlisted in 1945 with the rank of 1st Sgt 
		and then was commissioned as a Warrant Officer. 
   NOTE:  Although Francis 
		Mahan labeled the man on the left as "Lt Lamm", he is wearing an 
		enlisted man's cap, as is Risnes.  Lamm was separated from the 
		service after WWII. He reenlisted in November 1945 under a program that 
		allowed ex-officers to enlist in the grade of MSGT. He reenlisted for 
		the 508th and was assigned as First Sgt of Company I.  |
