Take Notice
The fact that the 508th would
take up residence at Camp Mackall caught the attention of the Greensboro
Daily News. Although situated 100 miles north of Camp Mackall,
the news that the practice jumps to be conducted there would include
two "men of the cloth" prompted part of this "Religious Remarkables"
article published on 7 February 1943, five weeks before the regiment
even moved from Camp Blanding!
