Dear
Lil
Say, how are you doing lately? Fine I hope. I'm feeling fine
and am in good shape all at one time. It's been warm out here
the last week and its bad when is warm, and when its warm they work
us pretty hard. So I hope it gets cooler and quick too.
How are the kids? Do they still cause as much trouble as they
did before? If they do, I'll bet that they drive you nuts.
If I was in your place I would have been in the Insane Asylum long
time ago. I don't see how you stand it.
I got a letter from Wesley

just
the other day and he says he's doing fine but misses home. He's just
like me now. After furlough I was mopy, droopy and everything.
That'd because I was homesick but now I got over it. I'm glad
because its no good for my liver to be homesick. I'm cured
now. I'm getting hard & have no heart anymore. I'm just
getting rugged, after all I've been in a rugged outfit for 2 months.
I just wonder what I'll be like after 6 months.
Well, I'll close for now. Say hello to Matt & the kids for me.
/s/ Love, Adam
