The 508th transferred to Fort Benning, GA on February 5, 1943.  Basic airborne training commenced immediately.  Upon completion of the requisite 5 jumps from an aircraft in flight, orders were issued to declare them as qualified parachutists.

The order set depicted below was one such document and lists all newly announced parachutists with surnames beginning 'J' through 'W'.  (Presumably an earlier number order covered names 'A through 'I'.)

For ease of review, we have sorted the names alphabetically and presented them on separate pages.  (Thanks to Ernie Lamson for providing us with this order copy).
