WOLLATON HALL'S 508TH  MUSEUM

This 5-page letter was written by David Pike to Jim Allardyce, then Secretary of the 508th PIR.
Pike, one of England's staunchest friends of the 508th, details why he has sent photos of the Wollaton Hall museum display and two pieces of artwork produced by his son Sean.
Note David's  use of Sean's line art as a stationary header.

Note - the address shown pn page 5, above,  is no longer valid for Mr. Pike who has since relocated to the area of Normandy, France.

Tent City Wollaton Park 1944
reads the sign on a tent at left forefront. No need to explain the scene to many men of the 508th, however,  The familiar pyramid tents arrayed below the swale of Wollaton Hall's front lawn is a dead give-away to them!

on D-Day.  Sean's vision of what the men and the scene outside Picauville are amazingly realistic for a youngster.
