Ike jacket and boots worn by George F. Schairer. The jacket is in the hands of a private collector while the boots are currently on display in a museum named "The Island" in the Netherlands. The museum is centered around the combat operations in the area between Arnhem and Nijmegen, known as "the Island" in 1944. Little is known about Schairer and his company has yet to be identified.. |
