News has been slow to trickle in this month. By the time the issue of STATIC LINE hits your mail box with this column i in it, the 62nd anniversary of D-Day will have passed or will i be coming soon.

I can't believe I've been pursuing my uncle's 508 history for a dozen years now. Never did I imagine my journey would lead to meeting and getting to know many 508ers. The past dozen years of searching, making phone calls, writing letters, attending reunions (the last nine of them, that is), have been priceless to me. I wouldn't trade my experiences for any amount of money (no kidding).

Looking forward to where the next dozen years will lead.
