Albright
was a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West
Point, Class of 1944
and served as a Lieutenant during WW-II as a member of
Headquarters, Second Battalion when they fought on Hill 30 in Normandy.
Barry remained in the Army after the war and reached the rank of Major.
He served in Korea with the 24th Infantry Division...
Major Albright was killed in action on 5 November 1950
in South Korea.
His awards include the Bronze Star Medal w3ith 2 Oak Leaf
Clusters and the Purple Heart with one Oak Leaf Cluster.
Major
Albright was a classmate of Capt James Milam at West Point and both
served in the 508th during WW-II. Milam was killed in action on
September 5, 1950 - two months before Major Albright.
